Dear Parent/Guardian, Beginning in fourth grade, chastity education is offered in the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
The series used in classes throughout the system is Family Life, publ ished by Benziger. With each level there is a Parent Connection pamphlet that you may use at your convenience. In fifth grade there is also a Human Reproduction pamphlet that you may find helpful. The program is designed in order for you to decide when your child is ready to understand and accept the Church's teachings regarding chastity and human reproduction.
You will receive the parent components prior to the beginning of the program in the spring. Each student must have a signed document stating if he/she is allowed or not allowed to be in the classroom when the series is being used.
