We make every effort to plan educational field trips that relate to the curriculum being covered in class. The fourth and fifth grades have been covering economic skills in their Social Studies class. They learned money management skills, how to interview and present themselves in a positive way, how to write checks, as well as, several other skills. At the end of this unit, both classes attended a day-long field trip to Junior Achievement Biztown in Chesterfield. Each student was assigned a job for the day which matched their interests and strengths. At the end of the day, the HR students were given high praise for their appearance and their behavior. Way to go, fourth and fifth graders plus Miss Fitzgerald! We are proud of you!

The second grade has just completed a Science unit on animals. They covered the many classes of animals, and they had visits from many live animals to enrich their classroom experience. At the end of this unit, they visited Wild Bird Sanctuary to see birds in their natural habitat. The second graders were also given high praise for their wonderful behavior and good manners. Way to go, second grade and Mrs. Minch! We are proud of you!

We will be in session on Friday, November 1, on All Saints’ Day, and we will be attending the 8:15 Mass. We look forward to celebrating the Eucharist with the parish as we all work daily on our lifelong goal to become saints.
